The company was founded in 2018 and was operating under Cherryplum Communications, in 2022 registered under the name of  syTechnologies (Pty) Ltd Registration No. 2022/000634/07.

The company's technical division has mainly focused on working on:

• Rockwell Automation Systems including PLC program design, modifications, Commissioning, Human–Machine Interface [HMI] and Factory Talk View Studio Enterprise.
• Schneider Automation Systems including Unity Pro PLC program design, Commissioning, Human–Machine Interface [HMI], Citect SCADA, Wonderware System Platform, InTouch.
• Siemens Automation Systems including Simatic PLC program design, Commissioning & Human–Machine Interface [HMI], Simatic WinCC programming.
• Legacy PLC and SCADA upgrades.
